摘要
Small cutaneous haemangiomata of infancy respond well to treatment with the flashlamp-pumped dye laser (FPDL). Optimum use of laser parameters can produce a regression in over 75% of such lesions. In very early lesions, a complete resolution can be achieved in up to 55% of cases. Since this therapy is quick and effective, and side-effects are minimal, FPDL treatment of all haemangiomas of infancy presenting early should be recommended, even if progression to deep haemangiomas cannot be prevented in all cases.
