摘要
One of the primary advantages of reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) over other controlled radical polymerization techniques were demonstrated. Controlled structure homopolymers of acrylamido-, methacrylic-, and styrenic-based sulfobetaines were reported employing sodium 4-cyanopentanoic acid dithiobenzoate as the RAFT CTA. Significantly, the polymerizations were conducted directly in aqueous media.
