摘要：

In this paper, the implementation of the MPEG-4 Simple Profile video encoder on a powerful MAP-CA DSP chip has been presented. It consumes about 40% processing power of the chip and generates high quality video bitstream at 30fps. The bit rate range can cover from hundreds of Kbps to more than 2 Mbps.
