摘要
Paint flow rate flux through the spray gun is one of the basic variables required to model the spray painting process and to predict the paint thickness distribution on the surface to be painted. This nonuniform flux distribution within the spray cone causes a nonuniform coating thickness distribution on the painted surface. A direct approach is used to model the flow rate flux and the flow rate flux causing the measured distribution is determined. The method uses experimental paint thickness distribution resulting from a single painting stroke applied on a flat surface.
