New zirconium hydroxide

摘要
The relationship between preparation conditions and properties of zirconium hydroxides was investigated by studying its precipitation at low pH. It was found that Zirconia with high yield were produced by controlled aqueous precipitation under acidic conditions. This resulted into formation of ultrafine tetragonal-predominantly zirconia at high temperature. It was concluded that zirconia formed under acidic conditions with different compositions and structure behaved differently from existing zirconium hydroxides precipitated under alkaline conditions.
