摘要
Optical tweezers are discussed. Optical tweezers work because transparent particles with a higher index of refraction than their surrounding medium are attracted towards the region of maximum laser intensity. Optical tweezers are used in various applications such as molecular motors in biology, Bose-Einstein condensates in physics. Optical tweezers are also capable of trapping, orientation and guiding particles.
