Two-beam X-ray interferometer using prism optics

A holographic imaging method in the hard X-ray region is proposed. Two-beam interferometer is realized by using an X-ray prism as the beam deflector. A portion of fully coherent X-ray beam is deflected by the prism, and superimposed on the object wave at the image plane. This configuration is the same as that of the Leith-Upatnieks type two-beam holography in visible light region. Preliminary results on interferometer and holographic imaging at an X-ray wavelength of I A are demonstrated by utilizing coherent radiation generated from the SPring-8 X-ray undulator.
