摘要
Using a chemically-defined medium simulating genital tract secretions, we have shown that preadhering Lactobacillus crispatus to Hela epithelial cells reduced cytotoxicity caused by Gardnerella vaginalis. This effect was associated to the expression of vaginolysin and was specific to L. crispatus interference, as other vaginal facultative anaerobes had no protective effect. (C) 2018 Elsevier Ltd.
