Losses in high-temperature superconducting BSCCO ceramic samples of different forms in sc-magnetic fields are measured explicitly by using the calorimetric technique. Dependences on field amplitude, temperature and geometrical parameters are presented and discussed in the framework of a modified Bean model. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
