摘要
The reflectivity profiles of polymer brushes in a good solvent were measured under steady shear flow at the highest ever reported rates of shear in plane Poiseuille geometry. The results do not support predictions of a monotomic increase in brush height as a function of the shear rate. Further, the findings clearly disagree with the shear thinning effect predicted for steady flow regimes by Brownian dynamics methods.
