摘要
Because prodromal angina pectoris can elicit greater myocardial viability after reperfusion in acute myocardial infarction (AMI), left ventricular (LV) function was evaluated in 89 patients with noncomplicated AMI at follow-up of greater than or equal to6 months after the event. Of these patients, 29 (32.6%) had had preinfarction angina and results indicated that they had more segments with improved contractility (52.5% vs 37.7%, p = 0.003) and less segments with worsened contractility (14.2% vs 9.3%, p = 0.049) than the remaining patients, although there were improvements in LV function in the overall patient group.
