Strain amplification effects in polymer networks

摘要
The influence of the presence of hard, undeformable filler particles on the microscopic deformation of network chains in cross-linked rubber under strain is addressed by small-angle scattering. SANS gives for the first time a direct microscopic proof for a matrix overstrain in filled elastomers, whereas SAXS confirms an affine displacement of the filler particle as a function of strain.
