摘要：

Phthaloylation of chitosan with phthalic anhydride was achieved by microwave irradiation. The effects of reaction time and microwave outputs on the degree of substitution (DS) were studied and DS reached high only by a few minutes. Microwave irradiation brought more decrease in molecule weight than conventional heating technique. (C) 2004 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
