Modelling of OFI-plasma recombination X-ray lasers

摘要
A combined hydrodynamics/time-dependent kinetics model is used to simulate behaviour of a plasma driven by a subpicosecond laser pulse. The ionization by tunneling is assumed with the rate calculated within the quasi-static model. Modelling is supported by separate simulations of the electron energy distribution function and induced space charge effects. As an example the simulations of the gain creation on the n = 2 --> n = 1, n = 3 --> n = 1 and n = 3 --> n = 2 transitions in optical-field-ionized hydrogen-like lithium are presented.
