Distribution of flavonoid aglycones in Ilex species (Aquifoliaceae)

摘要：

Leaf flavonoids of 59 Ilex species were analysed. Three flavonols: kaempferol, quercetin and isorhamnetin, and two flavones: apigenin and luteolin, were identified. This is the first report of isorhamnetin and flavones in the genus llex. The possible phylogenetic significance of the compounds found as well as the taxonomic value of the flavones in certain species are discussed. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
