Highly efficient blue organic light-emitting devices using oligo(phenylenevinylene) dimers as an emitting layer

摘要
Blue organic light-emitting devices using dimeric trimeric phenylenvinylene (TPV) derivatives 2,5,2',5'-tetrastyryl-biphenyl (TSB) and 2,5,2',5'tetrakis(4'-biphenylenevinyl)-biphenyl (TBVB) containing a biphenyl centre are fabricated. The structures of these devices are simple, with tris (8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminium and N,N'-diphenyl-N,N'-bis(1-naphthyl)(1,1'-biphenyl)-4,4'-diamine being used as electron-transporting and hole-transporting layers, respectively, and TSB or TBVB as light-emitting layer in different devices. The peaks of electroluminescent spectra of devices with TSB and TBVB are at 464 and 468 nm, respectively.
