(Chemical Equation Presented) Loaded with potential: The enormous potential of chiral phosphoric acids (see formulae) as promoters of novel, highly enantioselective addition reactions to imines under mild conditions has recently been recognized. The use of such catalysts has brought about the development of a number of new asymmetric reactions for the synthesis of amine-based chiral building blocks. © 2006 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
