In this paper, the performance properties of the Hilbert curve fractal monopole are compared with those of simple meander line monopoles. It is demonstrated that small meander line monopoles of the same size and wire length as the Hilbert fractal exhibit similar behavior and performance independent of the difference in their respective geometries.
