摘要
A Zn-0.3 wt pct Al alloy prepared by melting commercial purity elements in an induction furnace was used to study room-temperature superplasticity in eutectoid alloys. Tensile tests were performed after aging at room temperature for seven days. The grain size before tensile testing, defined as the linear intercept length, was about 1 μm, and no more grain growth was observed after tensile tests at room temperature. The additional annealing treatment between warm- and cold-rolling processes is thought to be responsible for the stable microstructure obtained in the study.
