摘要：

Aortic valve calcium was quantified by electron beam tomography in patients with nonrheumatic, calcitic aortic stenosis (AS). The valvular calcium area and the echocardiographic severity of AS showed a close, inverse correlation, suggesting that electron beam tomography may prove useful in the noninvasive assessment of the progression of calcific AS.
