摘要
This paper presents a new method, the interval finite element method, to solve the uncertainty problems of the beam structures, where the beam characteristics are assumed to be represented as interval parameters, and the interval analysis is used to obtain the solution. As an application of the method, two numerical examples are given. The calculated results show that the method is effective. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
