摘要
We studied the S-2 state dynamics of linear carotenoids with a range of conjugation length from 5 to 13 by means of the femtosecond fluorescence up-conversion method. The internal conversion rates from the S-2 states were not necessarily proportional to the energy gap, suggeting that an unknown factor has a significant effect. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
