A quantum phase transition in a model with boson-controlled hopping

摘要
A model is introduced in which an electron emits or absorbs a local boson every time it hops between lattice sites. The velocity of coherent electron propagation is governed by a control parameter lambda. which determines the rate of boson decay. It is shown how a quantum phase transition between two Fermi liquids, with different Fermi surfaces, can occur at lambda with non-Fermi liquid behaviour persisting down to temperature T = 0 at the critical point.
