Middleware "dark matter"

Some astronomers theorize that the universe is filled with "dark matter" that cannot be seen because it emits too little radiation for the instruments used to detect across the vast distances of space. Some theories about what occured when the universe began are even predicated on dark matter's existence. If it's actually there, its presence is profoundly important to the universe's very existence and operation.
