Nonlinear single-crystal fibers of Nd3+-doped niobates (Ba2NaNb5O15 and K3Li2-xNb5+xO15+2x) grown by LHPG, spectroscopy and self-frequency doubling

摘要
The obtention of good quality and crackless Ba2NaNb5O15 (BNN) and K3Li2-xNb5+xO15+2x (KLN) single-crystal fibers doped with different amounts of Nd2O3 is reported. Structural data for each crystal, low-temperature spectroscopy and second harmonic generation (SHG) studies show that these single-crystal fibers are potentially self-frequency doubling and sum frequency self-generating laser materials.
