摘要
Sinusitis and upper respiratory tract infections represent the most common disease processes treated by primary care pediatricians. Ln many instances, the diagnosis is a clinical one and imaging is not required. If a suspected sinus infection presents in an equivocal fashion, however, or proceeds in an atypical manner despite treatment, radiologic imaging may confirm a diagnosis, allow for evaluation of treatment efficacy, identify predisposing factors, or illustrate evolving complications.
