摘要
Rice husk is a waste material produced in large amounts. Use of rice husk ash as a pozzolan and filler to get high strength concrete is a relatively new field of application. An overview is given on laboratory studies which show that the indigenously available rice husk on thermal treatment under optimized conditions gives microsilica with properties almost matching to those of commercially available condensed silica fume.
