Ion scattering measurements of rutile TiO2(110)-(1x1) surface relaxation

摘要
The height of the oxygen atoms which lie above the six-fold coordinated titanium atoms on the (1 x 1) surface of TiO2(110) rutile has been determined by ion-surface scattering. The height is in excellent agreement with recent X-ray diffraction measurements, and is less than predicted by minimum energy calculations. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
