摘要
An extensive literature review has helped to create a database of information with regard to leaf area index (LAI) across deciduous and coniferous tree species in North America. This database provides a quick and convenient way of establishing interception effects through these canopy types. A sensitivity study of LAI and tree type indicates the importance of defining these variables accurately, so as to recover consistent model predictions with their use. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V.
