The vibrational analysis of the starting "monomer" and first generation of the starburst elementoorganic dendrimer

摘要
The Raman (10-3500 cm(-1)) and infrared (150-3500 cm-1) spectra have been recorded for tris(4-oxibenzaldehyde)thiophosphate and tris(4-N'-dichloro(thio)phosphonyl)-N'-methyl-diazobenzene)monothiophosphate. These compounds include the main structural parts of the starburst elementoorganic dendrimers: the core, the repeated units, the terminal aldehyde and P-Cl groups. Relying on group frequencies and intensities of the infrared and Raman bands, a complete vibrational assignment is proposed for different parts of the studied dendrimers. The assignment is supported by the infrared spectra calculation, which was carried out utilizing force field and electro-optical parameters (EOP). All of these results were used for the interpretation of the experimental Raman and infrared spectra of dendrimers. The heat capacities of the eleven generations of the dendrimers were estimated based on the calculated values of the statistical sums. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
