Comment on "An exact quantum Monte Carlo calculation of the helium-helium intermolecular potential" [J. Chem. Phys. 115, 4546 (2001)]

摘要
An exact quantum Monte Carlo calculation of the helium-helium intermolecular potential was discussed. The calculated interaction energy was -11.01 K with an uncertainty of ±0.10 K for the equilibrium internuclear distance of 5.6 bohr. An interaction energy at 5.6 bohr of -10.98 K with an uncertainty of ±0.02 K was obtained. The cancellation method used was found exact in that it requires no mathematical or physical assumptions beyond those of the Schroëdinger equation.
