2,3-Disubstituted norbornenes were obtained by the Pd/Cu-catalyzed three-component ternary coupling reaction of aryl halides, norbornadiene, and alkynols in the presence of aqueous NaOH and a phase transfer catalyst in toluene at 100 degrees C in high yields.
