摘要：

Ambient temperature treatment of the new bulky formamidine (2,4,6-Me3C6H2)NC(H)NH(2,4,6-Me3C6H2), HFMes, with 0.5 or 1.0 equivalents of potassium hydride or potassium bis(trimethylsilyl) amide yields the first potassium formamidinate complex [K{(eta(6)-Mes) NC( H) N(Mes)}{(eta(6)-Mes) NHC(H) N(Mes)], which displays attenuated reactivity with respect to deprotonation and solvent replacement of the included HFMes ligand.
