摘要：

In a previous study, an attempt has been made to review the current Internet service model. As a continuation of that study, the present work examines the proposed improvements in Internet pricing that are designed to increase its economic efficiency and support the deployment of new applications that require a better quality of service than the Internet currently offers. It is emphasized that in order to create and support economically efficient Internet services that satisfy user needs, the key is to move beyond current protocols and network technologies to a deeper understanding of user and network behavior.
