Effect of aging temperature on CeO2 formation in homogeneous precipitation

摘要
Hexamethlylenetetramine (HMT) was used to study the effect of the aging temperature on cerium oxides in homogeneous precipitation. The method HMT in the aqueous cerium nitrate solution decomposed into ammonia and caused the precipitation of cerium oxide. The advantage of direct precipitation of cerium oxide in the cubic fluorite structure, when applied to cerium nitrate solution. The morphology of the cerium oxide crystals were characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), that showed the crystal size increasing with temperature increase.
