摘要
This paper investigates fluid flow in a rectangular cavity whose lid (the upper boundary) vibrates in one standing wavelength. The fluid in the cavity is driven by the sinusoid streaming velocity at the edge of the viscous boundary layer near the lid. When the vibration Reynolds number is sufficiently large, the boundary layer thickness is negligible. The properties of the primary and secondary eddies and the interaction between the primary eddies are discussed in detail for the cavities of three different aspect ratios.
