摘要
Ultrasonic investigations of the spin-Peierls compound are reported and analyzed on the basis of magneto-eleastic coupling. Sound velocity anomalies reported recently for pure or doped CuGeO3 compounds can be interpreted using a simple theoretical model. We conclude that such anomalies ate completely independent of the existence of the spin-Peierls transition reported for the pure compounds.
