摘要
Analysis of destruction of tumor tissue after thermal therapy in the DSFC showed an excellent correlation between the region of vascular stasis and the region of tissue necrosis for days 1, 3, and 7 postthermal therapy (P > 0.7). In addition, the radius of vascular stasis and coagulative necrosis did not change between days 1 and 3, whereas it changed significantly at day 7 (P < 0.01). Similar results were obtained for normal hypodermis. The calculated vascular injury Arrhenius parameters for the AT-1 system indicate that the threshold of vascular injury is lower compared to cellular parameters. These results suggest that the AT-1 tumor vasculature is more susceptible to high temperature injury than the AT-1 cells, but continuing work is necessary to elucidate the difference between vascular injury and cellular injury that is a result of thermal therapy.
