Relative predissociation rates of OH(A(2)Sigma(+),v'=3) from combined cavity ring down - Laser-induced fluorescence measurements

Relative predissociation rates of OH (A (2) Sigma(+), v'=3) have been determined for N' up to 17 by simultaneously measuring laser-induced fluorescence excitation and cavity ring down absorption in the same experimental setup. The results are in overall agreement with calculated predissociation rates by Yarkony [J, Chem, Phys. 97, 1838 (1992)], but show a stronger increase of the predissociation rate with increasing N'. The obtained values for the quantum yield can be used in the application of the laser-induced predissociative fluorescence detection technique in combustion diagnostics.
