The structure of the alloy Ti-50Al-15Mo between 800 degrees C and 1400 degrees C

摘要
The alloy Ti-50Al-15Mo (at.%) has been annealed at 1400 degrees C, 1350 degrees C, 1200 degrees C, 1000 degrees C and 800 degrees C and subsequently quenched. The resulting phases have been identified and their compositions measured. The structures of the equilibrium phases al the various temperatures have thus been inferred, along with their compositions. Of particular interest are a diffusionless transformation of gamma-TiAl to a D0(22) structure similar to that of TiAl3 and a further ordering of the D0(22) compound to a new phase which we have termed gamma ''.
