We present a new method for conducting a mandibular reconstruction using prebent plates. Computer-aided planning and use of a rapid prototype model of the optimal reconstruction increase the control and accuracy of the procedure. This method may be useful for reconstructions of extensive mandibular defects, where the intermaxillary relation is totally lost in all three dimensions.
