Optical studies on Sn, K, Hg2I2 and I-2-doped alpha-HgI2

摘要
The influence of stoichiometric deviations and Sn (IV) or K doping on the optical properties of cc-mercuric iodide have been investigated. In defect samples, a decrease in the energy gap is observed. Photoluminescence was performed as a function of temperature while samples were under uniaxial pressure. Differences between doped, non-stoichiometric and 'pure' samples are observed for the luminescent emission position and intensity.
