Corynesporasca caryotae gen et sp nov with a Corynespora anamorph, and the family Corynesporascaceae

摘要：

An ascomycete isolated from a leaf of kitul palm (Caryota ureils) in Sri Lanka is described as Corynesporasca caryotae gen. et sp. nov. It is shown by cultural studies to have a Corynespora anamorph (hyphomycete). The new family, Corynesporascaceae is erected to accommodate this new genus; it is referred to the order Melanommatales sensu Barr. This is the first proof of a connection between Corynespora species and a teleomorph.
