摘要
Individual turnovers of waterfowl on wintering areas occur normally. Under severe climatic conditions, substantial waterfowl departures from wintering areas can occur. Emigration of teal from the Camargue (France) was studied through the analysis of capture-mark-recapture (CMR) data. The majority of the birds apparently stayed <10 days. For the rest, the pace of departure during an ordinary winter was in agreement with current knowledge of the spring migration while exceptional departures occurred during a cold spell in another year. No differences in turnover were found between males and females.
