摘要
The influence of the molecular weight of poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) and polyacrylamide (PAM) on the electrical properties of the ZrO2/polymer solution interface was examined. The main factors responsible for the observed zeta potential and surface charge changes of ZrO2 were defined. Changes in the ionic structure of the Stem layer depend on the number and distribution of -COOH groups in polymer macromolecules. These groups are responsible for the polymer chain conformation at the surface and have an influence on the amount of polyelectrolyte adsorbed. The thicknesses of the adsorption layers and the free energy of adsorption of the polymers examined were calculated.
