摘要
The temperature dependence of the oxidation of pre-adsorbed carbon monoxide (COad) on carbon supported platinum, ruthenium and platinum-ruthenium alloy catalysts was studied by COad stripping voltammetry. For Pt/C, the COad oxidation potential decreased linearly with the increase in temperature and the amount of COad was independent of the temperature. For Ru/C and PtRu/C a non-linear decrease in the COad Oxidation potential was observed with increasing temperature, and the anodic charge due to COad oxidation on Ru decreased with the increase in the temperature. The COad oxidation potential decreased in the order Pt > Ru > PtRu. The lower oxidation potential for PtRu/C compared to Pt/C and Ru/C suggests that the ligand effect has some contribution to the COad oxidation on PtRu alloy. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V.
