New stimulated emission channels of Pr3+ and Tm3+ ions in monoclinic KR(WO4)(2) type crystals with ordered structure (R=Y and Gd)

摘要
We report the spectroscopic and experimental data of new laser channels of pr(3+) and Tm3+ ions in monoclinic tungstates. We discovered and identified a new one-micron laser action at 1.0223 mu m of D-1(2)-->F-3(3) transition of pr(3+) ions in monoclinic KY(WO4)(2) crystal at room temperature. At cryogenic temperature, two-micron lasing of Tm3+ ions at wavelength of about 1.92 and 1.93 mu m were excited in two sensitized crystals, KY(WO4)(2):Er3+ and KGd(WO4)(2):Er3+:Yb3+, respectively.
