摘要
The origins of gene amplifications in mammalian cells has been difficult to analyze because of secondary genome arrangements. Recent studies in budding yeast, including Narayanan et al. (2006) in this issue of Cell, have provided new insights in the role of palindromic sequences in gene amplification.
