This work studies the behaviour of the Shannon sampling series. A precise dimension measurement of the signal values in the intervals between the sampling points is given for restricted bandwidth signals, The maximum value of the signal in the intervals depends on the signal's bandwidth. The result justifies the necessity of oversampling in signal processing, The behaviour of the Shannon sampling series with regard to triangle signals is also studied here. We indicate analogue estimates for the behaviour of the Shannon sampling series, The consequences of these results for the convergence behaviour of the Shannon sampling series for general signals are also examined.
