Doped rare-earth perovskite Mn films with colossal magnetoresistance

摘要
We have fabricated, using Jet Vapor Deposition, films of Pb doped rare-earth perovskite Mn oxides which show colossal magnetoresistance (CMR) effect, We have achieved epitaxial CMR films at a high deposition rate of typically 0.3 nm/s, uniformly over a large area. Films grown an LaAlO3 with a wide range of thickness (0.2-1.1 mu m) show epitaxial characteristics. Scanning electron microscope analysis indicates that the surface is smooth, The measured magnetization and magnetoresistance show comparable performance compared to similar CMR films made by other methods.
